Dr. Guenter Ahlemann is a graduate physical education teacher and an active Masters swimmer. He was a successful coach for the junior-and high-performance in swimming and modern pentathlon. From 1996 to 2003 he worked at the National Association of the German Triathlon Union (DTU) as a discipline coach swimming and supervised the others in the Olympic triathlon world champion Daniel Unger. In 1980 he received his doctorate on "skills in swimming speed" of the former German Academy of Physical Culture. Now he passes on his knowledge and his experience as an instructor trainer in international courses at the University of Leipzig.
